The Regulator alone is no longer available with the metric threads used on older grills – we have supported the metric housing for over four years beyond change to US threads, but have no more metric parts). This module upgrades all of these components to currently used parts & ignition system, bring your grill up to date with fully stock parts. All items must be replaced at one time, as there are other incompatibilities if we were to replace only the side housing.
Valve/Regulator/Side Housing/Igniter Module/Electrode for Solaire Anywhere (models IR17B and IR17M – included with grills).
This setup is for Solaire Anywhere grills with metric threads – adjustable feet are metal with gray rubber bottoms where this will fit onto.
Please study the pictures above to make sure this will fit your grill or send as a picture to help you.
Note: after reinstalling your replacement igniter-electrode, make sure it is not touching the burner or the burner screen or you will ground the connection and there will be either no spark or it will spark in an incorrect place. Make sure both the screws on the side housing are tight and do the same for the screw holding the electrode. If the problem persists, lift up or push down on the igniter-electrode to adjust it so it floats in between the burner and screen and can spark as intended.
